Gotta hand it to these guys. One misjudged turn and they're either a spot of skinned alive it seems
... Something I definitely couldn't do, not to that extent |

You'll never experience speed in a car the way you can on a bike. Apples to oranges really. Two completely different animals. Bikes come first in my world.

Commits weekly crime
|
Bikes have gotten a lot faster since I rode...after many years of dirt bikes & enduros, I finally got my first road bike. A Yamaha FJ1100. At the time, it was one of the faster bikes out.
No car can compare with a fast bike as far as the rush of speed. That being said, when I moved into the city, it became dangerous to ride because of oblivious drivers.

Great video! Isle of Man TT is the most hardcore motorsport event in the world. Nothing comes close. The automotive "equivalent" is probably Pikes Peak or WRC:

I'd rather die having fun like these guys rather than lying in my death bed waiting for death while some disease ravages my body.

I have always wanted to see this race in person. It just fascinates me - and the riders are insane!

Driving at high speed is safe.
Stops caused by fixed objects are not. |

I will never ever ever stop riding my sportsbike ever. People that don't ride will never understand. I get questioned weekly by people I work with for riding a sportsbike and why I do it...then they hop into their prius.

Love my Duc. I like riding fast, but not FAST. Top speed on a moto for me was 135 (on a 1985 V-Max). The Duc's been up in the 110-115 range frequently, but 121 has been tops so far.
The Isle of Man race looks amazing. Much respect for those guys, but I could never do it. |
