I was expecting this win for the Camaro SS 1LE, great car!. Bring on the 2018 Mustang GT with the performance 2 package and 10 speed automatic transmission

Even if the PP2 beats the 1LE it won't really matter. The S550 has lost every round to every competitor from Chevy whether you base it off pricing or from base model and going up a trim on each car. The Mustangs lost each time. So if they win, finally, after 2 MYs and all these changes, additions, revisions, it'll be about damn time. And even then it won't be by much. A driver's race at best. Despite the fact that they've been getting the shit kicked outta them by way more than a driver's race all this time. And that is IF the PP2 can beat the 1LE which I doubt.

Don't crucify me, I actually kind of like the Mustang (not over my 2SS though) and appreciate the rivalry. Mustang owners however, turn me off from the car.

They will be very late to the Party agreed, but there is excitement coming. The present GT will run with the SS, the PP2 should run with the 1LE, the Bullitt should be faster than both the SS and GT, and the 500 is coming as well, and may take it to the Hellcat and ZL1. Not exactly a bleak outlook.

I don't think the Bullitt is much of a contender. It comes with the PP1 pacakge which we all know can't hang with the SS 1LE. And it has only the 6 sp trans which I doubt will keep up with the A8 SS even if the Bullitt has the extra hp. It's a PP1 GT with 15 more HP and no A10 option. The PP2 has it's work cut out for it. It ain't gonna be a cake walk. The GT500 will take it to the ZL1 and Hellcat for sure. But even the GT500 will have a long road ahead. At least Ford is on the right track, I will give them that.
