I have a BSMS in my daily driver and it's not that useful really. I pretty much ignore it and use the mirrors. I've had at least a few times where using BSMS alone would have caused an unsafe situation. I actually tried to disable it because it just became annoying and i don't trust it but that illuminated a light on my dashboard. I'm glad my 1LE doesn't have it.

If your an extremely cautious driver and not going to push the car, you might want to go 2SS. Those features might mean more to your driving experience.

I am an old guy and was concerned about driving a 1LE with so many nut jobs on the road and not being able to see them. Anyhow, as mentioned above, I've not experienced any visibility problems with the mirrors correctly adjusted. You just need to learn to trust your mirrors. Of course if you fail to look at your mirrors, all bets are off.

This was a big concern for me as well, but go to a HPDE event, learn how to properly adjust your mirrors, and you will no longer have blind spots. Cars coming up from behind you and then on your left, for example, go from your rear view mirror to the left side mirror, and then into your peripheral vision. I don't even have to move my head anymore, just move my eyes a tiny bit and I can see what I need to.

It looks to be more than 50k. I would get that if I could. Thanks
As others have said - with mirrors adjusted properly...you can watch a vehicle go from rearview to side view to peripheral...it's really not that bad. My Sonic has worse blind spots than this car does.

You don't need to see behind you if you're moving faster than everyone else!
