Question 2014 Camaro LT needs a backup camera

Hi everyone,

I'm glad to find this forum. Anyway, I have just gotten a 2014 Camaro LT. It has a MyLink touch screen display but without a rearview vision package. I am not sure what is the best option to get a backup camera installed on this car that can be viewed via the current screen display. I called a local shop and they told me it costs $1000 to install a back up camera on this car. I did not expect it to cost that much. Any recommendation or suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Member 2ssrs is a vendor and you can get the wiring harness from him, but you will still need to get the camera and have it programmed by a dealer.

First check in the settings in your Mylink. You may or may not have the camera option installed. If it is in the menu then you just need to add a camera with the proper wiring harness from Gen5diy.

Or just look above the license tag to see if it has a camera...
