Bought a new Corvette (now w/ Magnuson Heartbeat TVS2300)
Last week I purchased a 2015 Stingray 2LT in Torch Red and haven't been able to stop driving it. I also purchased one of the first Magnuson Heartbeat Super Chargers from Nickey Super Cars in St. Charles, Illinois. We are also making this Corvette in to a Nickey stage II S serial#001 to make it more individual.
Hope you guys enjoy the pics! |

Thanks for the Kind words. Mutant Racer has some history with us as we have built "wicked and wild" cars for him prior.
The Magnuson Heartbeat Supercharger is a powerful and efficient unit and will support big horsepower. Plan "A" is to install the kit as a basic kit with no mods, and test the results. We will use the Magnuson 50 states legal tune, initially. Plan "B" is to add a NicKey Stage I cam, Kooks headers, pulley change, off road pipes and a free flowing CAI, along with a NicKey Super Tune. This Heatbeat is a special release Kit, only a few have been made available to Performance Shops across the country. Other than the requisite big power gains, they feature Magnuson's bullet proof reliability and durability as well as looking really Kool too. We will be accepting orders and scheduling installations on future kits. Call NicKey Performance for more info. 630.377.1222 |

Here is the Magnuson Heartbeat TVS2300 for the C7
These are not available to the public just yet and for now only a few have been sent out to certain shops across the country. I just happened to be a lucky new C7 Stingray owner that was offered a chance to buy this Maggie and I couldn't say no. Stefano and Beth Bimbi, owners of Nickey Super Cars in St., Illinois, have modified my Camaro's in the past and they are like family to me so their shop is the only place I would ever bring my Corvette to for this kind of modification.
My C7 is completely stock and this Maggie will be the first mod to the Stingray. I'll be adding a Halltech Air Filter, Kooks 2" LTH, and a stage 1 cam next year. This will give us a chance to see what this SC will offer on its own for. I'll start a build thread once the Maggie is in and running but today I dropped off my C7 for the job and unboxed the SC. I took a few pics just to share. Oh I apologize in advance for posting my ugly face for the whole forum to enjoy haha! Sorry. Dyno sheet and tuning video to come sometime soon. |

That's interesting. I assume cheaper than the Eforce? That should even have a bit of an OEM look to it once in place. Kinda on the fence about modding my C7. Figure if I was gonna do anything I'll wait until 460 HP no longer feels fast and just do an SC kit.

What kind of gains I get I'll post for the forum. Other than the Maggie my C7 is completely stock so we'll be able to see what it really offers but I do like the effort made by Maggie to cool that SC down. DAFFYDRUNK (I love that screename) I think you have the right idea. Run it until you really want more. |

Guys here are some specs for the new C7 Maggie.
TVS2300 Heartbeat Hybrid-roots supercharger Clears the factory Corvette hood and requires no body modifications (requires removal of the hood liner, or maintain the factory hood liner) Weighs 17 pounds less than the standard TVS 2300 TVS2300 Front-Inlet Front-Drive rotors, utilizes the same Eaton technology as the Corvette ZR1 LS9 Provides cooler discharge temperatures than comparable twin-screw systems Advanced high-flow inlet forward design Includes Twin dual-pass charge-air-coolers utilise Formula-1 racing thermal-control technology Acoustically designed to minimize noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) Better air-handling characteristics than comparable superchargers 100% complete bolt-on system which can be installed in one day More power in a smaller package Internal Bypass Valve virtually eliminates parasitic loss (uses less than 1/3 of a horsepower at 60 mph) Delivers a proven increase in real world "under the curve" power High thermal efficiency 2.4 pressure ratio capability High helix four-lobe rotors with 160 degrees of twist Redesigned inlet and outlet ports Utilizes all factory "push-lock" connectors Displacement on demand hardware retained for improved fuel economy Components have been independently tested to GM’s specification Upgradable throttle body adaptor available for large throttle bodies Drive pulley options available for high-boost applications You can find the info here...http://weaponxmotorsports.com/ The applications for the redesigned Maggie are huge. |

Ok guys everything is installed and working great! Here is the Dyno sheet and a few more pics. The Magnusson Heartbeat fits nice and snug under the hood and the power to weight ratio is insane. I can drive my Stingray just fine as it has kept all of its street friendly qualities but now the power is there to really launch the car. Jokingly we compared it to the Millennium Falcon using its hyper drive.
We added a few more touches to it as well. |
