Corvette C7 v Porsche 991 Carrera S

Not the most equal of match ups cost wise and he is in an automatic C7 (for all of you automatic lovers)

Cool vid on that track... must be a blast to run both fine sports cars on there. Always liked (and still do) 911's but the new C7 is onbviously still the better deal for the buck. Even at under or near six figures, the new Z06 will dominate.

This. You have to be a truly dedicated Porsche fan to pick the 911 over a Stingray. The Z06 pricing will probably be in line with the base 911.

What runs a quicker lap time? Not just feels "easier".

I would like to see a proper lap instead of these reviewers constantly drifting. If I wanted a drifting car I'd boost my Civic put a coffee can on for a muffler and call it a day. I know the Civic is front wheel drive and wouldn't be a good car for drifting, but I don't put any value in any review that the driver has got the car sideways.

I don't know a car is not just about numbers its how it makes you feel. When my tires chirp in third gear or my back end gets a little squirley and I giggle like a litter girl thats when I know I love the car.

Getting the car sideways can be fun sometimes, however it isn't fast.
