How bad did I just get ripped off for brake pads and front rotors?

I messed up my front rotors by driving too long with bad brake pads. I then made the situation worse by waiting until the day before traveling to get things fixed and went to the dealer so I didn't leave myself many options (went to dealer because I only have 57k miles so I was hoping perhaps something else was going on but in hindsight that was stupid). Anyway I paid $1167 for new OEM pads (on all 4 wheels) and new front rotors. How badly did I just get ripped off?

I feel a bit sick to my stomach right now.

Well, let's just say by about $700.....You should have been able to find two OEM front rotors for @ $150-$175, and front pads for @ $200 on the high side.....Jesus, you took one for the team. Lesson learned, thanks for sharing.....

Regal Chevrolet in Lakeland Florida. I'll never go back not that it makes up for this. I accepted I'd have to pay a premium at the dealer but lesson learned.

I almost said no but all I could visualize was getting into a wreck on the way home because I was cheap.

What pisses me off is they are quick change pads, 2 pins you push out with a punch. And if you needed Rotors that's 2 bolts. Not including the lug nuts (10) it takes 4 bolts to do front brakes and rotors. Do yourself the favor of a lifetime watch this
and then go outside and jack the car up next time.

Believe me I will. I'd planned to try and do it myself this time around but thought I'd make it quite a bit farther on the pads I had. I just got caught unprepared and up against a wall.

I paid $50 for replacement AC Delco pads, the ones without the roller skates. Took longer to jack the car up than it did to change the pads.

This is what I was quoted and these are discounted but from a dealer.

Front pads $190.00 rotors $96.00 each
Rear pads $104.00 rotors $124.00 each
if you need the parking brake shoes there $72.00
per side

$1,100 is about right? That doesn't seem to be anyone else's opinion.

Yeah that was a rip off. I got my new front rotors in and installed for 215.00 from my dealer.
