NEW TIRES

If you could buy any tire for your Camaro SS,
what tire would you buy?

I'm kinda looking for something that I can drive for 30,000 (plus) miles.

I'm running P285/35ZR20's in the front
and P305/35ZR20's in the rear.

Thanks for the help!

General GMax or BF Goodrich G Force sport I've had good luck with. Not sure if they're in your size.

If you are willing to keep 285 up front and drop to 295 in the rear - I would go with the Khumo PS/91's - hard to beat that price. I love mine...

I've liked my General Gmax's pretty well, even if they are a little noisy. I've heard great things about the Pilot Sport AS/3s as well. Unfortunately it hard to find an actual summer tire t last 30,000 miles, otherwise I'd be recommending Pilot Sport 4s or the new Continental EC Sports.

Yep, you are right about the 30,000 miles. Probably won't happen.
It came with P-Zeros. Now I have on Goodyear Eagle F1's.
I am kinda leaning toward the Pilot Sport 4, I guess that is the "latest & greatest!"

I recently put MPSS on mine. Much better grip thant the Pirelli's by far IMO. They do howl a bit on certain black top roads I've found.

Just ordered some Vredestein Ultrac Vorti in 285/35/20 and 315/35/20
Seem to be a very good tire for the money. Looking forward to installing them as these F1's are wearing out fast !

Let me know how they are. I need to replace my Sessantas this summer. 28,000 miles on them

Well, I drove my OEM PZeros for 50K miles, but that's not typical for these tires.

For long mileage, get all season tires.

I don't know about the MPSS4, but the prior version are awesome in 285s. I just purchased another set this year because they were on special at Tire Rack

Depends upon your mods.

I have basic bolt on's. Cold air intake, headers/hi flows, exhaust, UDP, and tune.

My car had Nitto Invo's on it when I bought it. They did well on stock set up, but since the mods my car didn't hook up at all when having a little fun.

I have put Nitto 555r's on the rear, and Nitto 555G2's on the front. Car hooks up great now!

I am almost at 30K on my MPSS's and I probably have about another 5-10K I can get out of them. I do run a square 285/35 setup on 10 inch wide rims so I rotate front to back.

They hold up very good. I put about 225 autocross runs, a full day of road course sessions and about 8k road miles before they started chunking from the abuse. Still had good tread but they were having issue from all the camber I run.
