Sure GM...that's a smart move. lol
I had the same thought. Although I highly doubt the Z28 was pushing...but still should have been in a V6....or 4 LOL

I'm a fan of Jalopnik and a regular reader, but if it's not a 20 year old BMW or VW hatch/wagon the community over there generally isn't interested.

You can also hear the same radio announcement on the Fast Lane Cars video. Lol.

I don't think they should have outright asked him to leave the event entirely. If GM wants to be mad at anyone, be mad at whatever internal source leaked the details of the C7 design and the Camaro 6's spec sheet. It's not as if Jalopnik infiltrated GM. Somebody internal dropped them a big lead.
No, what happens is the OEMs give the press access, complete acces, with an embargo date. That means if the press sees the car, drives the car, then they agree to NOT publish any information prior to that AGREED to embargo date. That was apparently violated by Jalopnik.

No, but I have done safety and crash testing and understand the physics.

Well, if V6 2016 Camaros begin shipping with side view mirror defects, we'll know who to blame for affecting product testing.

But on a serious note: Yeah, I could see how there's probably a lot under these cars' hoods for diagnostic reporting that probably increases the value quite a bit. Probably some proprietary systems that are hand-built for fine tuning. I realize that this isn't just a Camaro off the assembly line. I'm sure as soon as the 2016's begin production, the same cars will be used in planning for the 2017 and future model years to come.

I thought the guy sounded pretty remorseful. I certainly don't envy him.

Exhaust sounds almost like the flat plane crank GT350.

So many people on here that have never made mistakes. And there I was thinking that no one was perfect. Some Camaro5 members have proved me wrong.

Leaking the Camaro pictures wasn't a mistake... This guy is a douche bag and bragging about being 1st only confirms it.

I dunno, I think he really needs some performance driving skills taught to him desperately, and to lose the cocky attitude behind the wheel, yet at the same time, Im gonna give him some credit for actually owning up to being a bonehead and crashing a Gen6 mule.
I didnt feel like he was bragging, I felt like he was humiliated it happened especially followed up with being ejected after already being on thin ice..

Especially since he legitimately liked the car and felt like crap for wrecking it.
