My C7 has arrived

I took delivery of my Stingray this week. After waiting, lurking, posting, and sometimes sulking, all spring and summer, I have to post a photo. For those of you that are new to the ordering process, you can see the milestones of my order below. However, now that production is in full swing, your order will surely move much faster than us "originals".

As for my take on the car, it is everything I had read and heard about...truly an amazing automobile. The fit, finish, comfort and quality is outstanding; "The General" has done us well. I won't go into additional details, because others have already provided feedback here.

However, I will comment on one thing. Today's modern cars allow you to personalize many operating and information features, but the C7 goes beyond that with the capability to customize and personalize the performance parameters, i.e., exhaust, suspension, trans shifting, throttle resolution, steering, etc. Truly an incredible car.

To the question that was asked here many times; Yes, you can set the NPP, Performance Exhaust, to remain open in all modes. I'm not sure about Economy though, but who drives a Corvette Stingray in Eco Mode :>)

A special thanks goes out to Becky who helped me "keep the faith" along the way.

Sweet. Thanks for the info too! Now if mine will get past 3400, I'll be taking some Torch Red pictures as well! I seem to be the only one that's ordered the DTW Flash stripe on the hood. I hope that isn't the holdup!

I doubt that the stripe would be a hold up. Its just a vinyl application.

I'm waiting for a quote to have one painted on. I had the rally stripes painted on my 2010 Camaro...far better way to do it.

Good luck. Look at my time line...it'll be there soon.

Curious why you think painting is much better than vinyl? Myself I like the vinyl, I had custom striping on my C6 the vinyl was metallic and most people thought that it was painted on, the vinyl today is very high end, the nice thing about it, is that if you don’t like it or you want to change the design down the road it can be removed without any damage to the original paint. What was also cool they made the same striping with the same vinyl for my die cast model of my C6.

Congrats my Michigan and Torch Red brother. Looks awesome. It's amazing how just a few differences from mine (roof, calipers, interior color) can change the cars personality. I'm going to be taking advantage of the nice weather predicted for Saturday and doing some driving. Hope to see you on the road.

Your C6 is beautiful and I love the striped hood treatment. Having said that, I do not like vinyl of any kind on my cars because they're...well, they're decals. Cars should have painted surfaces. Auto makers have been using decals for decades for one reason...it's cheaper than painting.

I had my rally stripes painted on my 2010 Camaro. It was a show car. The stripe's edges were "buried" with clear after application. You couldn't feel the edges when you rubbed them with your finger. Waxing a car with decal edges is a pain.

If you enter a car in a high level judged contest, you will get "dinged" and lose points if you have decals against a car that has been painted. Can you imagine decal flames on a custom painted car?

Hi there. What type of roof do you have? Do you recommend the transparent vs the basic body color roof?
