Weighing in at 3989 Lbs ?

Did anyone else notice the photo of the door sticker over at corvetteblogger.com that lists a vehicle weight of 3989 lbs?

I wonder if GM is still keeping the official production weight a secret?

I can't imagine where the extra 800 lbs has come from.

I can not find the door sticker at www.corvetteblogger.com. Could you please point out where I could find it?

I am thinking that is the combined weight of the vehicle AND its "cargo". This makes sense in that the difference is about the incremental combined vehicle gross rating for passengers and their stuff for my C6 compared to the vehicle weight itself.

Ah, that makes sense...

The gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR), or gross vehicle mass (GVM) is the maximum operating weight/mass of a vehicle as specified by the manufacturer including the vehicle's chassis, body, engine, engine fluids, fuel, accessories, driver, passengers and cargo but excluding that of any trailers.The term is used for motor vehicles and trains. (from Wikipedia)

Two people, full tank of gas and probably 200 lbs +/- maximum cargo, sounds about right.

GVWR =/= Curb weight.

Yeah, thanks, I saw that awhile back. I was hoping to find an actual production example, of the car's weight.
