Testing 2010-2013 RS light - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I am about to purchase a pair of RS headlights from somebody and we are trying to check if the light are in working order. We are able to get the halos to light up but are having trouble getting the hid's light up as well. I am looking for a way to test the lights outside of the car with a battery or something similar.

They come with the ballast? should be straight forward. Power the ballast and the HID bulb comes on. You should also hear the ballast powering on.
