Adding Universal Remote System for 1LT

One thing I miss is the Universal Remote System that does not come with the standard 1LT package. Since the control is in the driver visor and there already is power going there for the vanity mirror lights, does anyone know if the Universal Remote is fully contained in the visor and it would just be a matter of ordering just a visor with one contained in it??

I'm pretty sure that you can buy the visor with HomeLink and replace the existing one .. it's self-contained.

Thanks jerryv. I'll check with the parts department at my dealer to see what this might cost.

Since the Universal Remote obviously will need power, before placing your order it might be a good idea to check with your service department and find out where the Universal Remote visor gets its power. The wiring harness on the 1LT might not have the necessary power connections for the visor.

It's plug n play. It uses the existing plug which is present in a 1LT trim. The visors are identical in how they mount with 1LT, 2LT and 3LT. The screws are located behind the little cover which snaps on and off. You reuse the little cover when you do the swap. It has a slot in it so it can be removed from the visor and transferred to the new one.

Part Number/Description: 23148817 SUNSHADE
