No you can grab the wheels and rotate them a bit before Dshaft moves and vice versa, car is basically Brand new very low mileage Dshaft is tight and not worn. It appears to be normal from what I am reading and my Ram truck is the same way with the TrueTrac and that also has 3.91 in it. The Ram is a auto so you do feel it from time to time when going from R to D.

the trutrac does have play, it's how the helical gears/limited slip work and transfer power to the tire with traction. I don't think ur feeling anything excessive beyond that.

Overall how does my Gear pattern look? I have only done or been involved in a few Gear Diff's swaps and I found this rear a little more difficult then others I have done, Having a Factory spreader probably would have helped. Getting the Diff/Gears in and out was a pain. I did make a set up Pinion bearing that would slide on and off to make that part easier.

Eaton actually references this on their website somewhere, the TruTrac is expected to have more substantial lash than a standard differential. I think they said something like 4* on the output side is expected. That's quite a bit on a 28" diameter wheel. Add in all the other parts lash (clutch, transmission, 2pc driveshaft, ring and pinion, axle at each end, and you end up with a pretty substantial amount of lash.
As long as it's quiet and working right, I wouldn't be nervous. The very dark oil on the initial change is perfectly normal, that's the coating wearing off the ring and pinion as it breaks in, and is a large part of the reason you make the early 500 mile oil change on a new ring and pinion, the oil will look much better on subsequent changes. Also keep in mind that Eaton recommends NON-synthetic fluid, and NO limited slip additive - those are both OPPOSITE of what the factory original calls for.

That's what I kinda figured, both my Vehicles have about the same amount of lash. I run 80/90 Torco gear oil which is non Syn.

did the Trutrac make shifting gears a tad bit more "clunky"?

Not that I noticed, would a one piece shaft make the lash more or less noticable? ( I don't notice it now really just wondering )

In theory it will reduce it. Typically there isn't much low load lash in the factory two piece driveshaft, but it is susceptible to wind up in the couplers and carrier bearing mount when it gets loaded/unloaded. A 1pc will definitely transfer more noise, which some people equate to more lash since they can hear it better.
