Z51 Vert
I am new to the forum today and thankful for all the information I have read in the past 3 hours... It has been most valuable.
This is a once in a lifetime purchase for me. A bucket list car that I have always wanted and believe I will never sell. I just paid $1k deposit to order: Z51 Convertible 2LT Black wheels Cyber Grey Adrenaline Red interior MSRC Performance exhaust Sill plates and personalized plaque. My salesman said that they have 7 coupes ahead of me but no verts that he is aware of. He said the dealership has two new allocations one coupe and one vert. From what I read, I get the impression that his vert allocation is NOT a Z51. This is my local dealership and I am loyal to them, not wanting to take my business out of town. Is there a way I can determine an approximate timeline of production or do I have to play the waiting game. I don't mind waiting and am patient, but if May arrives and I don't have a VIN# I am thinking of just switching the order to a 2015, knowing It will extend my wait until Sept/Oct. Any help or updates as to what I can expect are appreciated. |

It will be a waiting game week to week, no one can really tell if your dealer will get allocation to order your car or not(especially if it's not a super Vette dealer). With constraints on the Z51 package the only advice I can give is to not expect anything and take any time frame anyone gives you with a grain of salt until your order gets allocated(This is where it gets fun and you can track your status ).
Good luck, hope you get allocated quickly

Thanks Kochaloch,
When i was 19, I would go to the dealership after hours and walk around the 1984 C4 when they came out. I have been a sworn vette owner since. Waiting for that one day where I could swing the purchase of my first new one. It's finally here and is the car of my dreams. Three tours in Afghanistan has shown how fragile life is and exposed me to a definition of sacrifice that few will thankfully never know. C7 is the best therapy I could ever hope for. |
