Sport Mode

Is it bad to leave sport mode on all the time? Or leave it on while running errands in the city?

Leave it in whatever mode you like. No problem what so ever.

Yeah none of the modes do anything significant unless you have MRC. Otherwise it's just the exhaust valves and throttle/steering sensitivity. On that note you can control the exhaust sound separately anyway, so if you want it loud but in touring for steering feel, that's an option.

Mine used to stay in track mode most of the time when I had my 5th gen.... and with the ZL1, it's generally in sport or track..

The exhaust, steering, and MRC if you have it will all change with the console button if they're in auto mode. ....but if you adjust them in the settings screen, they'll stay wherever you set them. I don't like heavy steering, so it's set to "tour". The exhaust and MRC will change to whatever mode I'm in on the dash, but the steering stays in Tour.

Mine 2020 2SS has pretty much been in Sport Mode since I got it... I have MRC and I finally pulled the fuse on my NPP exhaust because even in "Track Mode" it would close the valves as certain RPM/Throttle settings... I decided I wanted them open 100% of the time... Sport Mode won't hurt anything...

If people drive in your city like they do in mine, you need it in Track/Sport mode for DD, and then Touring mode on the track. People on the track don't drive erratically like they do in the city!!

If you have the auto trans, when you "get on it", Sport Mode seems to downshift more readily and hold a lower gear longer when you lift back on the throttle compared to Tour Mode.
