Ahhh Thanks for clearing this up for me. If I in fact do place a 2014 order in June how much sooner would I expect delivery than if I wait for 2015? The 2015 will be more money car for car?

So far, May 22 appears to be the last day an order for a 2014 might be entered. May 29 the first date a 2015 order might be entered.

So if you place an order for a Corvette in June, rest assured it will be for a 2015 model year.

Good info, may be worth waiting for a 2015 at this point. I knid of like the idea of the PDR and I like the new dark gray interior. From the pictures I have seen, Shark Gray is starting to grow on me. (RSSC98, stuck in 1100 purgatory with a dealer that claims to have allocation....yeah, right!)

why would my dealer then say;
Cutoff is end of June. What will happen in June is we will go down the list of people that have placed the deposit. Starting at the top we will call each customer and ask them if the want to go ahead and order the 2014 or wait till August and order the 2015.

We are talking apples and oranges. Notice, the dealer is going down the list of people that have placed deposits and asking them if they want to stay or wait., and not asking if you want to enter an order.

Chevy does not know if you have a deposit and even if known it would not make a difference. Your dealer is correct that at the end of June the last consensus for 2014 model production will take place and the first consensus for the 2015 model year will take place. But that is not the cutoff to order and so far the dates I have posted are the cutoff dates.

The ordering process is not simple and the need for allocations and the effect of constraints make the process even more difficult. I am not saying your dealer is wrong, what I am saying is what you want and what is are in conflict. I can not think of a better way to express it.

First of all I appreciate you taking the time on this. I am confused by what you are telling me however for he is saying that I can order a 2014 in June isn't he? If the end of May is the cut off how can he take a 2014 order in June which is what he says he will do. What am I not seeing?

I believe (without being privy to the actual communications) he is saying June is when the last consensus for orders already in the bank may go through and he is not saying a 2014 order may be entered in June. That is why I think you are talking apples and your dealer is talking oranges. If he is saying he can enter an order for a 2014 in June he is either privy to info I am not (a possibility as he is on the inside and I am on the outside) or he is considering only orders already entered. Even May 22 entered orders may not go forward and I suspect some so entered will not.

Thanks Becky for responding to my first post last week! I appreciate you taking time to help people with their car order! Would you mind checking on RMFN4P in Arkansas. Was at 2000 last week! Thanks again!

this is his exact statement: Cutoff is end of June. What will happen in June is we will go down the list of people that have placed the deposit. Starting at the top we will call each customer and ask them if the want to go ahead and order the 2014 or wait till August and order the 2015.
