Promotional code for XM radio

Does anyone have the promotional code for the XM radio deal of $77/year...i called XM today to get that rate and the lady said I needed the code to get the offer. Is this true?

I didn't provide any codes. They are very inconsistent in their "offerings". Some folks got 5 months for like $23 or $25.

Just start saying a bunch of letters and numbers. If you're lucky, you'll get the right combo.

No codes that I know of, but I did let my 3 month trial expire and a few nights ago XM called wanting to offer me 5 months for a one time $20 fee and then it would go to the normal month fee. I declined, maybe they'll come up with something better for me in another month or so.

No codes that I know of. I didn't wait for my trial to expire, I called them a couple of weeks before the trial ended and told them I wanted another year at their $77 promo rate. No problem at all, and that was last Sept.

I let my free trial run out, and they offered me 5 months for $20. So I took it for the summer, and I will call to cancel before the higher "normal" fee starts. I made sure I asked if there was any hidden "termination" fees, or some similar nonsense to keep you locked in, and they said no.

i called before my trial ended, and asked for the 77 a year deal, they gave it to me, no problems, and i asked for a invoice. I went to there website, and checked my account, my trial ended last monday, the 24th. Im waiting for my statement to arrive in the mail, the balance on my account, was correct. 88 and some change with taxes.

You found the magic code!! "I'm going to cancel unless you have a better deal". With those magic words, the offers start coming at you at lightspeed.

That magic code is also good for Comcast, Dish, and DirectTV. It's the universal "discount" code in the USA.

yeah any time there's a company with a monopoly over the industry along with 2 or 3 other competitors offering a similar product, this tactic will almost always get you a better deal. their respective bottom lines are based on giving everyone that deal... so every sucker who pays full price just puffs them up.

Do you have XM now? If so, some have called to "cancel" and are offered the special rate. I think so many have attempted this ruse that they now offer the special rate to anyone, but you have to ask for it.

Call 1-800-547-8118 and ask for the $77 special (actually $88 NOW due to Music fees etc)

Do not give them a CC number as they will automatically use it to renew without asking. Better to pay by check or use one of the pre-loaded" one time use" credit cards.

Hope this helps.
