I just wanted to show that 22's actually can look good on a Camaro. It's a personal style issue, and we all have different tastes. Now that I have them, when pictured side by side with my 20's they actually look TOO SMALL on the car. I don't race in any way or drive excessively aggressive - at 77 I don't trust my reflexes to do that! I just love to look at her, listen to her and clean & polish her in the garage. Different strokes for different folks!

How heavy are they? Any rubbing?

Kinda torn, but I like it.
No rubbing as the diameter is the same as the 20's by using lower profile tires, 30's and 25's. I went up a bit in width (255 front, 295 rear) which widened the track a bit but not too much. Yes brakes will look dinky but that's a trade off I didn't mind. Lexani's are light weight and very well made - a high quality wheel for the $.

Because functions like track or drag racing and ultra high performance driving are not my main reasons for owning this car. Styling, looks and exhaust sound are what I like. It's a garage Queen that gets about 2,000 miles a year driving. Different strokes for sure, but at 77 I don't trust myself doing high speed stuff anymore!
Yup, many different reasons enthusiasts want out of a car. Totally ok to want a cruiser with style and nice sound as the key attributes.

No, 19s or stock 20s are better for everything. Lowering your car (increasing spring rate) and putting on 22 makes it suck more just for general driving handling, suspension and performance.

I'm glad you like the look, that's what really matters.

It came from the factory with the suspension lowering kit with different shocks and springs and a drop of about .75". I dropped it just another .75" with the Phastek springs. My "general" driving is on perfect roads in perfect weather only, so it's all good. I hate ANY amount of fender gap visually - all my hot rods throughout the years have been lowered. And yes, I do like the way it looks.

When you’re 77 years old, you’re allowed to use caliper covers. Car looks good. Thumbs up.

Thanks for sharing sir!

I did double deuces on my Fifth Gen and it looked sick, or at least that's what everyone told me. I had the perfect stance with my drop, no wheel rub and loved the look! The only thing I didn't care for was the lower HP on the dyno since there was more rolling mass to move at the wheels. After my cam, I should have been right around 500hp but sadly I was around 440hp at the wheel. The other thing was the handling. At speed in curves, I was not as confident with the handling of the car, but the som-bitch looked good! LOL

On my SixGen I have new tires and wheels in the basement waiting to go on since I got lowered a week ago and I stayed with the 20". Still looks good or will look good with the new package I have but I don't want to sacrifice the performance and in particular the handling on this car. I did the GM Performance suspension on this car with the .75 drop with new shocks and struts and coils, and the ZL1/1LE sways. Bushings re-timed and 4 wheel alignment and it rides much better, and its like being on rails more so now than ever before. I did a 285 up front with 305 in the back. Can't wait to get them put on, maybe tomorrow.

To the OP, car looks good, no it looks great on 22"s and I'm just a little ways behind you, celebrated my 61st last Friday!
