It makes sense to me seeing as though they are constantly woking on new engines...not to mention that we even have the diesels that will be coming available in two to three years. I'm not saying that they are going to put in a diesel engine. I'm the last person to know that. But, they really have us guessing. I'm sure whatever it is, they won't let us down.
Of course everthing is speculation at this point, but I have also heard (from multiple sources) that the LS2 & 7 are going to be phased out by then and have newer versions available in time for the Camaro. In fact, if the Camaro is released in the first year with an LS2 I will most definitely hold off on buying one. Last thing I want is to get screwed over like the people who bought the 2004 GTOs only to see '05 bring in the bad 6.0 and 50 more HP

Man you are right there I probably think they will have the SS and Z/28 later on. And I will probably do the same, hold off for awhile no matter how bad I want one.

well I am sure that Chevrolet won't let us down. I mean it all makes sense new concept Camaro New motors. Just like they did when they first started with the camaro. I think it is good to keep us guessing but on the other hand I would really like to find out what he hell is going on with the new camaro. But I don't think we have anything to worry about we will be able to pull up beside anykind of Mustang and smoke it.

That's something that really concerns me too. I want the first one, but I don't want to turn around a year later and have a car offered for $400 more and 50 more hp standard. That could tick me off.

I will say this right now to clear all this up....No one has seen or heard of the engines that will go into the V6 or V8 models. They have not ever been heard of by the public.

Oh well... I know I will be satisfied with whatever they produce as long as it has at least 300HP and gets good gas milage (for a powerful V8 anyway). Guess it is back to sitting and waiting.

I can say if you want an engine that puts out what an LS1 does AND gets extremely good gas mileage, you ... believe me, will not be let down. ... Let's see...what am I forgetting....

I would like to see a 427SS version with a LS7. I doubt that the LS7 (or LS2) will make it to production. But, dreams are free!!!

From what I can gather, the V8's that will be in the new Camaro do not exist yet. But I'm betting they'll be pretty darn good!!!!

Well I really hope they bring out a 505hp LS7 SS Mustang GT 500 slayer. That would be really cool and fast.

I hope someone leaks some info about an SS ... I don't want to buy anything besides the SS...you know how much it's going to kill me to not go out and by the Camaro right after getting home from Iraq...I'm gonna want to just run to the dealer and buy one..lol... They better push that SS out QUICK!
