Just want to make sure I am right on this..

I have been noticing alot of new owners getting thier cars that ordered just recently. Is this because most of the first orders are now limbo in QC and the newer orders are passing QC because they fixed the issues on the line? I am right on this or just way off?

It seems those of us who put up the cash last Oct were guinea pigs. There is another thread where you can track the early builds still stuck in QC, like mine (2585). There are a lot stuck in QC. Instead of slowing down the line to pull parts to fix our cars, they just parked them and waited for new parts to come in. The later builds did not experience this problem, so many who ordered this year are getting them pretty quick. Gees, I should have waited. I wanted to be the first on the block, now the AVIS in my town has a bunch of them and every where you can see them. Kinda sucks the way GM played us.

Yep, I figured that this was the case. I know mine is in QC and I still don't know my VIN yet. I know it was built, but not sure where it is

Seems right. If they have a fix its a lot quicker to implement it on the line than after the rest of the car is assembled. Essentially it takes no extra time vs a couple of man-hours.

Yea like the orange peel on some early cars. Boss prob chews paint crew and robots out. Then they fix it.. example of how a line will fix it post discovery of said defect issue.

Its in the "Camaro triangle"....an known area of land where Camaro's seem to be disappearing in.

That is known to happen... I couldn't get a VIN for 2 weeks after it was built. Then two different sources within three hours, were able to finally pull it up.

I've had a VIN since April 23rd yet no one can tell when my son's car will be shipped or arrive at my dealer.

This is really starting to get old.
