hey now,

i just bought a black zl1 with 18500 miles on it. the options are carbon fiber hood insert, automatic tranmission and suede steering wheel. the previous owner installed a cold air intake and carbon fiber in and out.

the hud is very distracting for me as my eyes have to refocus all the time but i think i will get use to it.

here is my other hot rod

this is my 94 impala ss with a small block 396 stroker and a 6 speed manual transmission. i traded in my truck a 04 silverado ss clone for the zl1. two hot rods one has to go.

thanks,

dave

If you don't like the hud, you can turn it off simply by turning the brightness knob for it.

Are you sure it's 1850 miles on her
It looks better than some cars sold new from the lot
I bet that you are not sleeping tonight
Drive her around to get familiar with her new neighborhood !:-(

I love the HUD. Sometimes it takes some getting used to at first but its really beneficial in the long run.

Congrats! I quickly learned to love the HUD. And, unlike the HUD in my wife's X5, I can still see it when wearing my sunglasses with polarized lenses...

He said 18500, which I think you meant. That car looks VERY clean for 1850 or 18500...

HUD

I bought a 2002 Z06 Corvette new in Grand Banc Mich, and drove it back to Kansas City, Mo. When I left Mich I did not like the HUD but by the time I got home I was in love with it.

hey now,

the day i bought the car i was sick with a cold or the flu and i still am but the hud was way high way and way bright but it now it is way low and i adjust it often so it i barley noticeable to me and i now love it.

as for the finish of the car it is terrific! here is a picture of some paint treatment the previous owner did.

a quick question: is nav standard on these cars if not how do you tell if you have it? it will show the street i am on just like google does on my note 3 so i may have it but i have not tried to input any addresses or points of interest.

here is the engine bay pictures.

here is a quisck list of things i want to do to the car

-black locking lugnuts

-catch can (but i am not convinced i need it)

-plasti dip the wheels black

-electric cut outs

and has anybody put a camera at the front of the car facing the splitter so as not to bang it on things. maybe there is one that would work with my smart phone? or it could some how show up in the my link screen?

i am going to call onstar in a bit and see what they have to offer thats cool for the car( i watched a commercial where some lady started her car from an airport thru her smart phone that seems cool)

any other things i should do?

i dont want to void the warranty.

this car will destroy the tires at 45 mph in 70 degree weather, insert evil laugh here.

thanks,

dave
