Never heard of them, but I bet it's a pretty good product. A lot cheaper than what I've seen the stock GM unit going for.

anybody knows what "infused with real carbon fiber means"

that is too cheap to be too nice IMO. thats like hydrodip pricing.

I emailed the sales representative about a deflector, they have them upon request. Not sure if it will be fiber glass or carbon fiber. I prefer the deflector to just be regular plastic. I also asked for pics under the LG 162 carbon fiber hood and if gaskets are used to seal the area where the insert connects to the hood. I will like to make this my summer hood just need more detailed information and pictures.

Extractor does not come with gasket, if they made this identical to the zl1 extractor in terms of weather proofing this would have been a good buy. Water in the engine compartment is my concern. Also they could not send me pics of under the hood.

Also, what is it made of? Engine heat/sun can wreak havoc on cheap plastic.

I could be wrong, but I'm thinking after a while, that thing would have several waves in it.

But if it holds up, then great for not having to deal with the high price of an original GM part.

I ordered it to go on my zl1 hood so Ill know what the quality looks like next week.

"The carbon fiber weave is set in the mold, and graphite epoxies are applied under vacuum to push the epoxy through the fibers until the correct consistency and equally distributed expoxy over the entire surface of the piece is achieved. The piece is then cured, tested for accurate density throughout the form, and either accepted as accurate and complete, or discarded. This is often referred to as “infused” carbon fiber."

Seems to be legit carbon fiber.

Im not so sure it matters if they include gaskets or not. I mean wouldn't it be easy to run down to the hardware store and pick up a few thin rubber gaskets? That is my plan.

I received the carbon fiber insert today but won't have my OEM ZL1 hood delivered till next week. All I can say is WOW. The finish of the insert seems to be incredible. Because I do not have the hood yet, I cannot comment on fit but if its anything like the finish, it should fit like a glove. And if this does truly fit the OEM hood well, there is absolutely NO real reason to purchase the carbon fiber OEM insert. This insert looks spectacular!
