Definitely makes the rear of the car look wider.

Can you see through it or does it reduce visibility?

Think I'm going to regret saying this, cause I really love your creativity with pretty much everything you do. First off, I like the idea... Your 1 inch gaps on the side follow the flow of the roof ditch molding perfectly making that body line carry over from the roof to the trunk lid. If that area doesnt effect visibility, and I have no reason to think it would since your saying it doesnt, it's a nice touch adding a splash of color to an otherwise devoid area.

That being said, I dont think I like it on YOUR car... and this is why. Your back end it blacked out. That is a great look, I love it, and am getting ready to do it myself .. some day. But the black outs run across the car parralel with the ground. - Then theres your trunk lid.. you have custom stripes.. again, Awesome.. your stripes appear more to attract the eye to the negative space between the stripes than the stripes themselves, so your going from parralel to spaced out stripes. Which leads your eyes to the "New" vinyl package. This forces your eyes out even wider, to the ditch-molding spacing I mentioned earlier. To me, in my humble opinion, (Which may be completly wrong..) it looks sort of like combining spots with stripes, or stripes with plaid.. they flow, but sort of..awkwardly.

Again, I love the idea, and a different car might look better, it just doesnt seem to "Fit" to me. But hey, it's your car.. and your idea.. you have the custom brake light strip, inner door panels, bad ass front splitter w/ lights.. your ingenuity is apparent, this one is just a bit too much for me.

^^^

And again, nothing against your creativity or the idea, but with the black borders on the rear window and everything else going on, it just looks a little too "busy" for me.

Thanks everyone but I think I am going to take off the platic dip that is on the edges of the piece and it will match up to the ditch molding. This was all the black out with match
