But if he's like me, you don't want to deal with stick shift especially nyc.
IMO drive it first, you may hate it Benz are hit or miss. As far as warranty goes, German cars are not cheap to fix. They do give you nice loaners when you need service. Just remember, with just a tune with a stock oem turbo you pick up 50/60 hp. Personally I love the grip of awd, I will take turns at speeds most people would crap themselves.

I think you should actually get out there on the weekends (or whatever days you have free) and try out a bunch of cars. I love the looks and the handling of the Camaro but I have been test driving other cars in the meantime. Some have come really close to being purchased (Genesis Coupe Track) but in the end I keep coming back to the Camaro and trying to buy one (really hating dealers right now).
I understand the frustration with heavy traffic and a manual but for rough conditions I like having a manual. I cannot imagine driving through that horrible blizzard in DC (not to mention two in two years) without having a manual transmission. But that is a personal preference. |
