New STis will get taken by V6 Camrys, lol... it may have 310 hp but it also has an antiquated AWD system that suck down the power and the gas, makes it suck on the highway, etc.. but it's pretty awesome in the snow and on dirt roads.

I'd get another one, but it'd be an '06-'07 with the motor built for e85.

In many places you're far more likely to get a ticket in a STi vs a Camaro too.

They're both nice performance Chevys, but I definitely see how they project different vibes. As a guy still driving an Impala and looking around I notice this stuff, and it's going to play a part in what I eventually buy. You gotta drive the one that fits your vibe, congrats on the 'vette.

Gold chains and a mullet or a walker and baseball hat to cover the bald head.
Take your pick

You went from a 4 seater world class sports car, to a world class sports car that competes with exotics. Congratulations man, that's a stellar buy.

Very nice and to have the money to even have a 1LE, never mind a new Corvette must be nice as well. If you got the money, go for it and own these nice super cars. I suppose if I did, I might do the same thing. I often wonder how some of you do it when I see these super cars and also the 60-90K trucks- how you can afford it, without being a Dr, Lawyer or some other executive- or perhaps you are. And own a nice house. I must have missed something somewhere along the line!

Amazing car, nothing wrong with that move. Just wondering what was the total cost close to 100K? Down here in South Fl I see them with 500 miles going in the mid 70's. I would rather have new too. Either way thats a amazing car you will love.

Thanks. I’m actually in northern Florida, near Pensacola. The MSRP on the car was $93,650. I didn’t pay anywhere near that. But, so far, it’s been great. In the five years that I’ve lived here, I’ve only seen two C6Z’s and one C7Z. But there’s a bunch of standard Camaro’s. I’ve seen three 1LE’s besides mine and one ZL1 1LE. It seems that most people intend on buying trucks out there.

And yes, I will track this thing—I’m fully aware of all of the cooling upgrades I will have to do. I’ll also need to get new wheels, too. But now I need to focus on the new pool we just bought and buying my daughter a car, before I mess around with that.

Nice car. I still would have opted for the manual. I hate Autos in general.

I find it strangely amusing that your avatar is that of a save the manuals shirt; yet, you bought an Auto.

But, to each their own.

I explained earlier why I ended up with an auto. It absolutely was not my first choice and a point of contention for me. My discontent with the auto and with it being black ended up pushing the price of the car further and further down while also increasing my trade in value. The end result is a deal that I just couldn’t pass up.

I had an A8 before and I’ll always lean on technology and raw metrics more than appeasing to purist values. But, if I had better choices, I would have picked up a manual transmission car in almost any other color. But, you can’t order these anymore and I was stuck with what was on the lots.
