I have NO frustration in my ZL1, only smiles. I manage just fine. It is just a learning curve like anything and lots of practice. I actually am getting used to 650 and I have been talking to Rich at Redline about their Phase-2 upgrade.

...and still no vert to play with the ZL1 Vert...

https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/thr...ptions.124689/ and it's not offered in a convertible ... making the stang GT vert still their top topless offering. Too bad, really. I'll just have to tell the wife that the 720s Spider is the only worthwhile next upgrade for us |

Excluding ADM the dollar per hp (DPH) is comparable to the ZL1. That is a hard to dismiss fact.
Still like the styling of the ZL1 much better though and I can spend less than 7.5K on upgrades to reach the 750 HP level if I decide. I'm perfectly OK with my ZL1 ! |

The GT500 fell off my radar when I found out they were only going to be offered in automatic.
But I do see a Maggie 2650 in my future to get to or exceed the GT500 hp.

And to compete with the Mustang, Dodge announces the 2019 Challanger Hellcat Red-Eye SRT model.
What is it: The 2019 Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye is a muscle car in the most glorious way. Essentially, the Redeye takes the now-pedestrian Hellcat to the next level by throwing even more horsepower at the problem. The problem, of course, is that there's never enough... Key Competitors: Ford Mustang Shelby GT350, Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and anything next to you at a stoplight Base Price: $79,440 As-Tested Price: $82,026 Full review: Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye, R/T and 1320 Highlights: Um, how about 797 hp, 707 lb-ft of torque and fender flares? Other than that, it’s the same Dodge Challenger you’ve come to know love over the past decade. Oh, and the Hellcat logo has a red eye. https://autoweek.com/article/car-rev...=hero-headline similar pricing, more horsepower. |

Deki, SlitherByU, good to have you guys on here. IMO, diversity is a good thing, and a difference in opinion is healthy.
I joined a car club that isn't specific to any one brand of vehicle, it's called HeadTurners. Mainly focuses on American Muscle/Pony cars. I have learned a lot about Ford and Mopar over the last few years. Every one of these companies continues to push the others, and competition keeps them all on their toes, and sharp! to competition and diversity! cbr1100xx , you are still a tool and a douche... you provide comedy relief for us, so good to have you in the Zl1 forum also

Myself an unavailablezl1 have had some PM's. We live just around the corner from each other. Probably have a beer with him sometime. I've been fortunate to own some cool cars. No real loyalty to one specific manufacturer. 93 5.0, 2k SS, 12 Boss, 14 GT500, 16 HC, 18 GT350R. I guess you could say I leaned Ford but I also have a C7 in the garage. There's a lot to be said for wanting more HP each time. The allure of that is very strong. That's basically what I chased all the way to the HC. But then my philosophy changed from that into wanting a more balance of HP and handling. I really didn't understand at the time what I had with the Boss. It was a fun handling driver with really nice power. BUT it wasn't fast enough, or so I thought. I then proceeded to chase power cars and got away from just enjoying the driver. Now I'm back into what I enjoy in a car. I admit I only test drove one Zl1 back in 2014. At the time ergonomically speaking, it just wasn't for me. I'm sure today's Zl1 is far more improved in every area. Once the wife and I got our C7 Z51 with magride, I said wow, GM hit it out of the park with this. I'm sure the new Zl1 is as great. I used to feel like DAMN, I wish I wouldn't have missed the 60's because they'll never be back. But here we are. We're living Gen 2 of the HP wars and it's really great. With the threat of electric cars for everyone always looming, we must enjoy these times to the fullest before the bureaucratic agendas take them away forever I'm afraid. Peace
