sounds like a tune issue. I know this kit is touted as a "no tune" mod but the high limit the ECM is seeing on the boost tables is probably getting past whatever limit is present. It makes sense that it would happen when you quickly apply the throttle as the boost will spike at first. Jannetty will fix it with his tune no problem.

Glad to hear you guys figured it out!

Since I'm also looking at Ted's 75hp "no tune" package, I just want to be sure your problem was just the nannies being on...correct? If not, please elaborate.

First Ted was very detailed as he was before i got this package.Yes it was just the nannies being on.using the torco is somewhat of a pain but without tuning and 91 fuel in ca.i have no choise.what is nice is that if i do tune jannetty does free tuning and will load to my laptop.i load to my sct.and download to my car.if i add a mod like headers new tune and again free.this is a great package.

It's the "Burst Knock" kicking in. I was having the same problem and tuned it out. The PCM is seeing a rapid change in airflow(cylinder air delta) and pulls timing as a result. This rapid change(delta) in airflow is way increased because of the pulley. If you were to scan the car you would see a negative spike in the timing when you step on it. I discovered this early on as soon as I put the pulley on mine. Doesn't have anything to do with the nannies, (unless you lose traction). Unfortunately only solution is a tune. Or just ease into the throttle so it doesn't happen.
