Which Camaro will retain their value longer

What’s going on Camaro6, out of a Rapid Blue Lt1 and a shadow grey metallic 1ss
Which one do you think will maintain it’s value in the longer run? The main feature on the Lt1 is Npp and the main features on the 1ss is a sunroof and Npp

they are both basic cars. their values will remain the same, respectively.

When the bubble bursts on the car market in a couple years, most cars will suffer from depreciation just like 2019. The SS is more recognized as the performance version and may carry a little more weight in pricing.

I agree with this, the SS is a long time model of the Camaro dating back to the very first Camaros, it is well recognized as a high performance version...

Eh, you make it seem like a statement of fact. Camaro's supposedly will stop production in 2024. I think it's destined to be an instant classic, as ICE cars, along with the manual transmission is going the way of the dinosaur. I don't know about you guys, but I already can't stand an automatic, let alone an EV-only future. That's boring as hell. I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels that way. Just look at how desperate buyers are for manual cars today all across the market.

A manual with the 1LE package will be the most desirable, whether it's an SS or ZL1.

That'd be a reasonable assumption. Although I'm not factoring any special value increase tied to a 1LE. For me personally, I'm buying it cause I like it(and it's the only way I've found a 1SS)

I suspect that these cars will plummet in value regardless. They're all mass produced without a whole lot of rarity involved. Although admittedly I have never been concerned with the resale value of a car I have purchased or am considering to purchase.

If only I had a crystal ball.

Due to the crazy market, can still get really good money for these cars. More now than before the shutdowns started driving prices through the roof. But with the economy what it is, and gas prices, I can see that hurting the value quite a bit...BUT with the fact that these types of cars are being produced less and less, and probability that the Camaro may die off in another year, could that mean prices may stay high?

Neither. By the time you're ready to flip, percentage of initial cost will probably be similar, with the SS having a higher entry cost. Neither will be anything special in the long run either, especially if the green brigade have their way.

Buy what you want to enjoy it.

My guess would be any unmodified 1LE's. ZL1 1LE's first followed by 2SS 1LE's. It's turned into an iconic package for budget sports car enthusiasts and most of us will modify them. Unmodified cars almost always hold their value better then ones that are not stock. OEM parts from GM aside.

I'm of the mind that there is no reliable way to predict that, why ruin the amazing present enjoyment for such an elusive potential opportunity.

Whether or not my built 2SS "0.75LE" will shoot up in value or not, it's my forever V8 Camaro that I'm enjoying to the fullest.
