Can't believe I only thought of this a few minutes ago, but I do hope this last hurrah is being properly documented at the factory, possibly in the form of documentaries, interviews with management and workers on the line, notes and build sheets, maybe even drone footage and anything else people can think of...
If the company itself does not do it, which I'm afraid is a possibility, are you guys who know GM top brass planning to take matters into your own hands?

Mike Judge used to sign then and hide them under the mat in the armrest for Z/28s until he got in trouble and was told to stop. Some Ken or Karen complained when they didn't get one. |

Generally speaking, Collector's Editions of a vehicle don't normally bring anymore money than non-collector editions with exceptions of course. Regarding an exception, the very limited 2024 ZL1 CE comes to mind and seems to have the potential for appreciation based on mileage/storage/etc.
Also as a general rule, it seems properly stored low-mileage unmolested vehicles (think absolute time capsules) are what have the potential to bring absurd amounts of money with "nostalgia" playing a big factor. Nostalgia being basically whatever someone "drooled" over but couldn't acquire when they got their driver license however can now afford in their later years.

No I am not excited for a watch and paint, especially for $90k
Edit, and a plaque that shows what number car you over paid for Edit edit... disclaimer, this is my personal opinion

Yeah GM really screwed up. The car will cost $100k + with the interest paid and everything so I don’t see how it can even be a good investment piece.

It was never going to be as popular as the SS or ZL1 like the Z28 of the 4th gen. |

I would never buy a car as an investment to store away but you never know what limited numbers will do such as the ZL1 CE... The 6th Gen ZL1 is already proven but whether a limited number run that almost no one can get will appreciate enough to overcome the extra 20k. That remains to be seen. |

Thanks for the nice replies. I could get a ZL1, and I was offered an allocation for a hardtop ZL1 CE, but I like convertibles and the price. I have (2) convertibles for the price of (1) ZL1 CE, and 2023 and a 2024. I had (2) Z06's and I don't track my cars, and Ido drive the wheels off of them. The 2023 is not a daily car and I put 12k miles in one year, I got it the first week of September 2022.
Dealer just told me minutes ago that mine got pushed up two weeks, so being built this week before the possible strike (they won't, the workers can't afford it). I might get it before the James Dean Car Show on 9/23! Yes, I live near Fairmont Indiana where James Dean lived and iss buried. I love the color and getting a 3LT that I wanted on my 2023 but with the chip issues, I wanted a car and not to wait. My question is, how many will they make panther black?
