actually, it does. As posted above, the MSD wires we sell have a smaller diameter boot, and the boot is bendable up to a 45* angle, allowing you to ensure it's nowhere near the headers. This is what I was meaning above, spend $60 on boot protectors for a stock wire, or spend $70 for better wires. I'll choose the wires every time.

This is my two cents, I love my Camaro and had alot of custom work (super charger, LTH, etc), quality work costs. If you were having open heart surgery would you be haggling with the doctor over every price point for the procedure? Get a few other shops estimates and go on from there. Some places will discount parts and stick it you in labor charges.
