THE NON Z51 SPOILER DORKY LOOK
Who out there likes the non-Z51 spoiler? I don't - hate it. To me looks like a 50's duck-tail haircut , or a stupid looking little rear duck-tail hanging off some kid's head, or a rear-end spoiler fart-turd. If I ordered a non-Z51 I would have to order the Z51 spoiler option. I won't even buy the C7 toy car model as they only come with this circumcised looking little spoiler. Every C7 should come with the Z51 type spoiler, and the Z51s should come with a more pronounced spoiler. All the big Corvette modification shops like Callaway are changing the Z51 spoiler look, which I really like. That said, I am more than happy with the spoiler of my Z51 I have on order in Carbon Black on my Torch Red Vert. If I owned a non-Z51, I would change out the spoiler with something aftermarket. Don't understand Chevy having a non-Z51 spoiler that looks like some guy's shortcoming. This may be why in part 75% of us ordered the Z51 package. If anyone knows of aftermarket spoilers, please show us pics.

I have to agree with Richard. I'm not saying it looks horrible, but I would never get it. I wouldn't even consider it a spoiler.

I will never understand why people take something that is so subjective and try to make it factual. The way the Z51 spoiler looks will appeal to some folks (me) and put others off. No need for either group to trash talk the other, it's personal preference.

Don't mean to offend anyone, and I am sure lots of folks are OK with it, but it just so looks not right, at least to me, and likely the 75% who ordered the Z51 package. I think the rear of the non-Z51 would look better without it. If it is only meant to be a brake light, then mold it into the rear so as not to protrude upwards as if also a spoiler. If as a spoiler, I look at it and think, "Really? that's a spoiler? What is going to spoil? Butterflies." To me what it spoils is the car's looks. It's like it can't decide what it is or wants to be - a brake light or spoiler. What it is, is a brake light that Chevy also tries to pass off as some kind of useless spoiler for the sake of passing it off as some kind of pretender spoiler. Sorry, to me it just looks like some kind of ridiculous looking spoiler guys add to a Corolla for the sake of saying they have a spoiler even if it doesn't really do anything functionally for the car.

OP, you made a thread to bash people who don't have the spoiler?..

I ordered mine with the optional spoiler but the non spoiler looks great too. Hard to find anything wrong with the C7 .

just can't get enough

^ What he said and as Doc stated it's down to each person's subjective opinion.
So.... IMO no-spoiler on the C7 looks fine/okay, but with the Z51-spoiler it looks better. Basically there really is no incorrect answer since the C7 looks good, period. However I can also see the argument or viewpoint that w/o a spoiler it looks dorky simply due to the protruding chmsl/lip without it installed. And for the record, of course it's added on... it's an aero component primarily intended for the optional Z51 package. For whatever reason if one didn't want it from the beginning, then one wouldn't opt for it before or after new car delivery. |

Honestly I think it's an interesting look without the spoiler. I do like the Z51 spoiler but I'd probably swap it out if I bought one.
