Service manuals

If anyone is interested the 2015 C7 Service/Maintenance manuals will be available at Helminc.com this coming May. I have had service/maintenance manuals for every car I have owned. The manuals are well worth the money. Even if you take the car back to the dealer you can research the code and understand what caused the code to trip.

I intend to purchase a set whenever they become available. I don't know about the May release you mention, though. Helm Inc has had them listed with various dates of release for over a year now. Each date has come and gone and still no manuals. They currently say January 15, 2015, but I'm not holding my breath for it.

The May date is what I saw on their web site last Friday.

The moral of the story is to not trust whatever date is on the website. Just a couple weeks ago it had a date in mid-November for the 2014 copy (since passed), now it says 1/31/2015. The 2015 currently show 5/20/2015. I'd wager those days will get pushed back as they approach.

For now, it's vaporware.

Ah, that makes sense - I was looking up the 2014 manuals. But as Goldbug says, I won't trust any dates posted until I can actually place my order.

And in Helm's defense, they cannot start sales until GM gives them permission. GM seems a bit slow these days granting said permission.
