My First Lapping Experience
Well here is one of the videos of the lapping event at Mosport Ontario. There are great shots of my feet, the real nice passenger airbag compartment and a few of the track. It is definitely not easy in a five point harness to take a video with a hand held digital still camera! I am having trouble uploading the other one to my photobucket but I will keep trying! I was riding shotgun in my buddy Elie's 98 SS that has a few minor modifications. He has also done solo events and drag racing. I had a blast. Once again, Sorry for the video quality. By the way, I am still smiling!

Nope, the hyperlink isn't complete. " b...nt=100 " is embedded in the URL. and therefore won't work.
Looking forward to seeing it though.

Looks like a heck of a lot of fun! I sure wish I get the opportunity to try something like that one day.
You know....one of those ideas I had "if I won the lotto," was to build a track similar to those (with twists and turns, rolling over the hills and down into the valleys) right northwest of San Antonio towards the hill country. We really need something like that for all of our enthusiasts to let loose on the weekends....keep it "at the track," you know? |

Yes, but it can be expensive. There was an MG fresh off the trailer and it looked like a fresh restoration to me. After about three laps, his day was done. Came back on a flatbed. The front discs were at the firewall. I assume he ran head on into one of the cement retaining walls. Tire cushions are infront of most of them so I don't know where he hit. What a shame.
