We're planning to be coming that way on Thursday afternoon. We've probably got 20 or so cars coming from the Western Michigan Camaro Club and MiFbody.com. Most are arriving on Friday afternoon, I think.

Sorry, I was on vacation w/no computer, and i am trying to catch up on what i missed.

Okay, the the whole 30 miles is NOT under construction, In fact it has gotten better since my last post. I have gone this route three times during the construction. The first time i came home and wrote my last post to inform everyone. Twice it was nothing barely slowed me down, and once it was bad, delayed me probably ten minutes, woop-di-do right, but while i was gone they started in on the northbound lanes on the north side of 28....Sorry, I don't know how far that is going but they have not touched the southbound lanes, I don't think it is going to delay you that much, because our construction crews are pretty good a keeping traffic moving.
They finished a bunch up while i was gone so they seem to be moving pretty fast, they might just be doing patch work so I think that it won't delay you much at all. Don't worry about taking a different route. This one will be okay. Question for you what time do you think you will be arriving in INDY because different times of day bring different traffic conditions on 31, really different.

If you get excited and tend to have your foot to the floor trying to get there faster you will find that our cops dress themselves in impalas, chargers, and, I'm sad to say this, here it goes...unmarked mustangs..The mustangs are mostly in and around the indianapolis area, and patrolling the large race track, otherwise known as SR465.

As another public service announcement not all Indiana drivers are idiots, BUT the ones in KOKOMO are, so watch yourself. Prepare to see no hills, lots of corn, and shitty weather, sometimes we dont see the sun for what feels like a month:(. Lets hope that the sun makes an appearance for this weekend!

Thanks for the update! I'm glad to hear things are better on 31. We're going to go that way, anyway, and just deal with what's there. I've made this drive several times and am aware of the "scenery". :-)

We should be arriving in the Indy area around 3:30-4pm. Probably not the best time to be getting there, but that's the way the schedule works out. We're staying at the Brickyard Crossings hotel, right at the track, so I want to get checked in and then head on over to the host hotel and do the meet & greet.

We've driven quite a lot in Chicago and Detroit (as well as Indianapolis) so we're ok with dealing with heavy traffic.

Right now the weather looks a little cloudy, but nobody is talking rain for this weekend.

THANK GOODNESS I Would Hate for My 5Th Gen to get all Dirty And wet Before I Get Her Home..Plus I Really HATE driving My Car In the rain. For some reason my wipers dont like to work like they should, I have tried different blades, longer & shorter But Still Have A spot that they never touch.Guess The Spring On the Driver side arm is weak..But Passenger side works fine..

thats easy to fix i had the same problem just use some pliers and bend the arm up or down at the curve till the spot gets cleaned.
