I think places like Montreal, Quebec City and maybe slightly less so Ottawa have the worst (or best, depending how you want to look at it) of both worlds. In Montreal, we typically see about 200 cm's (80 inches) of annual snowfall, although this year we're up to about 350 cm's (140 inches) so far...its nearing a record. The temperature dips into the minus 30s celcius (below -22 f) for a substantial portion of the winter and we see between 30-40s celcius (85-110 f) with the humidity factor for a better part of July through August. I think it may have one of the world's biggest temperature ranges.
