you have to declare the 100k as income. With that high of income it pushes up your tax bracket.

Wouldn't the $25,000 just add to your tax burden as it would also have to be claimed as income?

3. RANDOM SWEEPSTAKES DRAWING: A random drawing will occur on June 13, 2011, in Chicago, Ill., at 4:00 p.m. (CT) from among all eligible entries received under the supervision of the Administrator, an independent judging organization, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters related to this Sweepstakes. Potential vehicle prize winners will be notified by telephone, email or overnight mail on or about June 15, 2011. Potential prize winners must execute and return an Affidavit/Declaration of Eligibility and Liability and Publicity Release form (except where prohibited) within fourteen (14) days of the date on the prize notification letter. For Canadian residents only, as a condition of winning a prize, potential prize winner must correctly answer a mathematical time-limited skill-testing question. If the potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to sign and return the Affidavit/Declaration of Eligibility, Liability and Publicity Release (if applicable) within the required time, or if prize notice is returned as nondeliverable, potential winner forfeits prize and an alternate potential winner may be selected. No one can be deemed a prize winner unless the Administrator declares them as such. Complete details regarding the public prize presentation(s) ("Event[s]") will be provided to the vehicle prize winners prior to the Event(s).
4. PRIZES, VERIFIABLE RETAIL VALUE ("VRV") AND ODDS OF WINNING: Ten (10) Grand Prizes: Winners' choice of only one Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or Cadillac vehicle, the estimated VRV of each prize vehicle not to exceed $131,681USD/$130,937CAD, not including cash supplements described below. Chevrolet Volt is excluded as a winner vehicle selection. Ten vehicle prizes may be presented at Event of Sponsor's option, to be determined. Each winner or their designate must be in attendance at their specific Event(s) in order to receive their respective prizes and may be reimbursed for reasonable travel expenses as determined by the Administrator. Failure of winner or their designee to attend the event will result in forfeiture of prize. Maximum VRV of all prizes is $1,566,810USD/$1,557,957CAD. No more than the total number of prizes specified in these Official Rules will be awarded. Winner's selection of their vehicle's color, options and equipment will be based on dealer stock/availability. Dealer incentives or rebates will not be credited in cash or applied to any vehicle won. Limit one dealer vehicle order per vehicle winner. Once dealer submits vehicle winner's vehicle order, it cannot be rescinded, reversed or altered. Winner must take possession of vehicle prize at the Sponsor designated dealership near winner's residence within 30 days following public prize presentation or whenever winner's vehicle becomes available. Winner is responsible for payments of insurance fees and all costs associated with any Sponsor-authorized vehicle upgrade/option package and/or accessories. To help defray vehicle winners' delivery expenses such as imputed taxes, sales tax, if any, dealer preparation fees, title, license, registration fees and destination charges, Sponsor will pay each prize winner a cash supplement in the amount of $25,000USD/$24,858CAD, which may be applied to winners' vehicle costs as a requirement of delivery and may not cover all delivery expenses, which must be paid by winner. All U.S. winners will receive an IRS Form 1099-MISC for tax purposes, combining the total amounts of the delivered vehicle's total VRV plus the cash supplement. Winner must have a valid U.S. or Canadian driver's license and proof of insurance to take delivery of vehicle prize. Any prize's actual retail value may vary from the VRV stated herein due to the winners' selection of vehicle make, model, or delivery location and applicable taxes not specified herein. In the event winner chooses a vehicle less than the stated maximum VRV, winner will not receive the cash difference. Odds of winning a vehicle prize depend on the total number of entries received. No substitution, assignment or transfer of prize permitted, except by Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize or prize portion with another prize or prize portion of greater or equal value. Sponsor is not responsible for winners' limitations that prevent acceptance or use of prize.
5. LIMITATIONS AND LIABILITY: By accepting a Sweepstakes prize, winner agrees to release and hold harmless Released Parties from and against any claim or cause of action, including but not limited to personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse of any prize. Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, stolen, illegible, mutilated, incomplete, invalid or misdirected entries. In the event of a dispute as to identity of winner, winner will be determined as the person with whom OnStar has recorded as the primary account owner. Potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized primary account owner with OnStar. The Released Parties are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes; technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Sweepstakes; technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries. 7. GENERAL CONDITIONS: Sponsor reserves the right to suspend, cancel and/or modify the Sweepstakes or any part of it, if fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Sponsor's reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Sweepstakes as determined by Administrator in its sole discretion. Sponsor's failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. I guess it would, but Would still help as the tax on 25k would still leave some to pay on the car

I would absolutely want a ZR1, but I don't want to even think about the additional income tax, sales tax, or the excise tax every year....

A couple of posters stated that they would not have the money to pay the taxes. I won a Wrangler some time ago, and the dealer offered to buy it back before I took delivery. Offered me the same price he paid Chrysler. Could do the same, presumably, with the on Star car. Good money in that deal. Get the most expensive car you can, sell it back and pocket the money. Buy another one for cash.

I think i would have to get the ZR1 and probably sell the Camaro even if i have to to help pay for the taxes, gas, and insurance atleast for a little while. Then i would probably sell it and probably get a new SS or maybe a ZL1 but it would be rough lol.
