Best polish & wax for silver paint.
Best recommendations for wax or sealant for my silver Camaro.

Is it a daily driver, or a fair-weather toy? That's the first question to answer to decide weather a sealant or a wax is best for you.
Sealants are well-suited for a daily driver since their prime directive is longevity, and a wax is usually better for something that isn't daily-driven since they can offer slightly better looks, but will sacrifice some protection when compared to a sealant. If you want the best of both worlds, then go with both. |

Nick knows his stuff. He has answered my questions on what to use and how to get my SS up to speed.

had a silver 1LT before my SS, Silver is pretty fool proof, just keep the surface clean with regular two bucket washes, maybe hit it once a year with a mild polish, seal and enjoy. during the summer months I used Meguiars mirror glaze #26 yellow wax about every 4 weeks with great results. with silver you just need to do basic maintenance on a regular schedule and you should be fine. it is one of the most forgiving colors you can have!

I would wash and clay the car before doing anything in the terms of polishing first. For a fairly new ride I recommend going with Meg's 205 with a Tangerine Ultra Polishing Foam 5.5 x 7/8 inch Pad to remove any fine swirls you may encounter on the paint or use BLACKFIRE SRC Finishing Polish with a Tangerine Pad. Follow with BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection for an intense shine and protection your paint needs.

BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond on silver, hand's down.
IF you are polishing via machine, start with BLACKFIRE SRC Finishing Polish, if you are polishing via hand, try BLACKFIRE Gloss Enhancing Polish first. |
