Became Victim to Reduced Power

My time has came to be a victim of the reduced engine power message. Luckily I was not on the highway but was driving home today and it came on, had to baby it home. I have the VTC and took that off and now everything is fine minus the check engine light being on. Probably just disconnect the battery to have it reset or if anyone knows a better option please post. So I will probably have a VTC on sale sometime soon along with a K&N CAI that I still want to get rid of that's clogging up space lol. Just sticking with my tune now and if I want more throttle response I'll contact RDP. What a good way to start off the week.

The CEL should disappear after a few 'cycles', and the ECU no longer detects an issue.

If you have a buddy at autozone, they can clear the code for you.

I'll give it this week to see if the light goes off if not I'll get it cleared. Need to up the throttle response though cause I can feel the difference. But that can come spring since the temps are cooling down.

Vitesse says that most problems occur with ported throttle bodies. I see in the signature that your vehicle has one. I wonder if there are any VTC fails with a stock throttle body.

My VTC has caused my car go into limp mode, but only because it is tuned. The VTC and tunes don't always play nice together.

And for this same reason is why you see at least 2 VTC on the marketplace every week.

Right here stock TB.
Happened one time.

Pulled the CEL code.

P2138
Accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor 1-2

ECM has detected that the APP sensor 1 and APP sensor 2 disagree more than 4.5% for less than 1 second.

Probable cause:
1) Poor electrical connection
2) Failed APP sensor

yes, sensor in TB failed, new TB and now no problems.
Probable cause:
1) Poor electrical connection

yes, connection at TB was not tight. after reading issues with pedal sensor after VTC install leads me to think the connections are the source of the problem. many similar reports that on reset or unplug/replug that no more issues does not point to VTC component?

If it does it again then I know it's the ported TB but don't think that was the case though. Car ran much better today and was not jerky at all in the shifts.
