Anyone got info on moving the pcm only? Looking to find out if I’ll need to lengthen or shorten any wires, and how many need to be adjusted. Looking to install a vacuum pump and I think the pcm will be in the way... not comfortable grinding down the cooling vanes as well.
Gracias

Years ago I got flamed for saying this car was never going to happen. Was I wrong?

Quick question. On the stock driver side valve cover there is a little port that sticks straight up. When I bought the car, this port was just open with nothing connected to it. I just put a vacuum line cap over it. I’ve seen pictures of some cars on here that have a hose connected to it. My questions are what is it for? And do I need to have a hose connecting it to something? Here’s a picture of what I’m referring to. |

I believe that port was for the stock PCV system. Mine after the aftermarket LOD manifold I have is capped off. On the passenger side you should have one as well with a small diameter hose connected to it and goes to the intake tube. Pre TB and after the MAF. Mine does.

Yes it's a PCV system port, there is a hard-line that runs along the fuel rail and then loops right behind the throttle body into the intake manifold, here are some pics, recently had to switch it to a fuel line hose because it was in the way of fitting the ls7 fuel rail covers I'm working on.

I have read this entire thread and I have been inspired.
Shout outs to blake-b and krusher especially. You guys paved the way! And of course the OP. What ever happened with him? I'm going all out. My biggest annoyance with my Camaro was the lack of paint under the hood. Imma gonna fix that.

@blake-b
Do you still have part numbers for the pins in the fuse box and ECU? I'd rather install new pins on the shorted wires, instead of solder.

I wish someone did this near southern Cali. I can’t imagine getting lost in a million wires.

If you have time to take the car down for a while, and have the patience for tedious work. It's totally doable. Document everything, label everything, and focus on one task at a time.
