Noises when cold
I'm wondering if anyone is hearing the same things I am. When I first start the engine and am just in the first 5 miles from home, I'm hearing sounds I can describe as something between a click and a chirp. I've turned the stereo off and fan down so I know it's not coming from those areas. I'm also getting the clock on the main screen for five seconds at a time then it switches to whatever Screen I happen to be using. I've got a service appt. but would like to hear from anyone having the same issues.

check your batt voltage when your engine is off...anything less than 12.0 will yield false phantom alerts and odd behavior from the electronics......

Direct injection engine tends to produce a little more noise then non direct injection. You can expect a little more valve train noise in cold weather which should fade as the engine warms up.

I have noticed a lot of engine noise when it is a cold start. This is Florida so outside temp does not really come into play.. As soon as it is warm, it stops
