License Plate Recess Black-Out ??

So.. I've been looking at the recessed area around the license plate for awhile now, just thinking it could use a little attention. i've already blacked out the rear section of the trunk lid, and was wondering what just a little more black would look like back there.

I have a black plate holder, so it helps blend that in a bit I think. I think I like it.. it's still new, so still not used to it yet. Havent seen anyone else do that before, so thought I'd see what you guys thought.

It sorta makes the rear look like a weird alien smiley face.

I think I would like it more if your plate didn't have the smoke color over it. The color of the plate would break it up a bit. Although that's seems to be the opposite of what you're going for.

Overall, not bad though.

I have been pulled over for the cover once already....

No, that isnt plasti-dip, its actually vinyl. I've never struggled with a piece of vinyl as much as I did with that one!! Took an hour to get it on there.

An alien smiley-face.. yeah, I can kind of see where your coming from with that. Just trying to think of different ways to stand out from the rest..
