Does the sticker on your Powerstop boxes say "new formulation brake pad"? What color is the metal backer, black or white?

Don't see "new formulation" anywhere. Backs are black with a thin piece of stainless clipped on them.

I just received a set of Z26-1053s' for the rear and the box has "new formulation". The backers are like yours. When looking at Powerstop's website they show white backers.

With the Z26-1053 and Z26-1835 pads, 300 miles -- NO BRAKE DUST!!!!.
Stopping power is unnoticeable on the street. Best upgrade yet!

Ok, I did not mess up but do not have the best pads for the car. What pads do you have coming?

Thanks for the clarification. I will get a hold of Adam on Monday and see if he will do anything to help me get the correct fitment. Hopefully its not one of those "will they will work, so technically I did not sell you the wrong pads and there is nothing we can do". He seems helpful so fingers crossed.

Thanks for the help Guys!!! I will let you know what happens

That's good news! I'm installing mine after my car gets out of the shop for the dreaded steering issue. Had to leave it at the dealer today, not happy about that but hoping for the best

A track pad from JPSS made by G-Loc. I will switch them before track days and report how well they work.

Ok, installed pads today. The 1053 and 1835 pads are a exact fit. Install was easy. Did the break in and all is well. If I was being ultra critical I would say the initial bite is not as strong as the factory pads but probably after tomorrow and a few miles of driving I won't recall the difference. Washed car at dealership where I work and drove home ( about 10 miles) Before the rims would already have a light coating of dust, now there is no dust. Mission accomplished!!!!

I went on G-Loc's website. Only ZL1 they have says 2012-2016 and it pulls the 1405 number. Are you having the pads custom made? Or what part number is the Pad?

Thanks

Keep us advised.

Is this the "New Formulation" ?

I found the initial bite gets even worse over time on the 5th Gen.

GLoc is making a set with the correct pad shape as we speak. 1405 will work but it isn't exact and you may give up some brake swept area. Check out my pics in this post

Update: Adam with amp'd auto is talking with Carbotech and they are agree the 1405 are not the right pad even though they fit. I am working with them and they are currently building a pad with the street compound that they will be sending me for a fitment test. I will keep everyone updated. If they work I will pass on the model number. I know they make a great pad so I am excited to be the test dummy on this one.
