Black rims???

So I am getting a little bit braver with the stuff...I had done my bow ties and they turned out great so next up was the wheels and Camaro letters on the quarter panels I'm buying new rims so it's just temporary. Going to be painting the calipers red as in one of DIY's here on the site...just got the replacement stickers to round out the look on them. Thoughts on the black wheels?

I did...I also did the lettering on the quarter panel. I was hesitant but did some practice pieces. The stuff truly is as easy to work with as everyone says. I've only had my car 6 weeks so spraying it directly on the paint was nerve wracking at first...but no problem at all.

Here's a pic of the back bow tie...the car was filthy at the time...dang pollen.

Mines the same...temporary until I decide what wheels to go with. Funny thing is I only did one side if the car...can't see both sides anyway. In thinking the ZL1 wheels in satin is the route I'm going...wish they had a true flat like the dip. Might check into powder coating so I keep the look like in the pics.

Too many options

I did my bowties and camaro letters as well. Waiting for it to warm up again to do the wheels.

Did you remove them? How many coats? You did it with wheel standing up, and rotated around to get inside?

I'm with u on the zl1 wheels, phastekperformance.com has some knock off of them a little less expensive.

No I didn't take them off. I used 6 coats on each...including the 1st light coat. I jacked up the car so I could get up under the bottom lip. No concern with getting inside the rim...just did the front surface, with a trash bag around the rotors. My biggest advice is don't over think it. Tape off the valve stem, wrap the rotors and go at it. I used rubbing alcohol spray to ensure they were very clean.
