I like them both. I've had a 302 Z/28, '11 SS, and a few Mustangs. Definitely liked the Mustangs better and the '15-'16 for sure, but the new SS has my attention more than I thought it would. I wonder if Ford has any plans to take the newer 6.2 liter aluminum 2 valve OHC engine and develop 4 valve heads for it. If it would fit under the hood of a Mustang the cubes would be another game changer. I suspect that wouldn't happen though.
As an old school pushrod guy turned OHC fan I must say I'm impressed with GM's success with these pushrod milestones of late. That's why I bring up the 6.2 Ford engine. If that had a 4-cam set up I'd be into the torque and revs. |

Yup, just like to go fast on the track. Per my signature, I am not brand specific, and the SS brings be back to Chevy for the first time since the mid-90's.

I know the SOHC fits. When it first came out a guy on themustangsource or some forum did it with minimal modification. I highly doubt a DOHC head would fit though. I never followed it enough to see the final results nor do I even know the size of the valves. I know he had a front to rear issue which was solved with minimal mods
Sorry, I can't find it and I don't even know if the guy was completely successful. Last edited by ILBMF; 11-18-2015 at 06:18 PM. |

Update: Actually, after test drives and soul searching, I decided to buy a Mustang GT. Still respect and really do like the Gen6 Camaro, but the Mustang still has my heart. Last edited by American Legend; 06-29-2016 at 12:52 PM. |

Yup... like em both. Previously had a gen5 SS 45th and a Boss 302 at the same time for a couple of years. Upgraded since then.... as seen below.
No 6th gen Camaro SS for me. I like my Z06 much much better. Before... After... |

I have no brand preference. Well maybe a BMW, would love to have an M4 but the price is just too high. So, performance and looks are what I want. It's not a daily driver so give me a handling car and Camaro and Mustang have done that. I originally like the looks of the Challenger but it just doesn't handle. The looks of the Camaro has done it for me. And with the 1LE option it handles great. But I am not loyal to it (well, I am to the current one) if one of the others puts out a better car in the future (say a Gen 6 Camaro 1LE). I will say that I have never liked the looks of a Mustang and they are too popular (not unique) for me. I like the exclusive cars, I just can't afford a Ferrari, Lambo or McLaren. So for now, a GEN 5 1LE with Mods to make it unique.

I really hate you. Those are awesome. I'd love both a Stingray and a GT350.

School bus yellow was a bit much and maybe more appropriate.....For the 1970 Boss.

Got this. And traded the boss302 . The SS is faster in the 1/4 and will run circles around it @ the track. Liked them both

Seriously, I loved that car upon test drive, but we weren't yet in a place to make the purchase, so I had to pass. |

With the 502 ram jet crate FI engine that's why I'm ....Mike 502. GM has a crate motor for any application you can think off. I like having FI in a classic 69 .
