Corsa or Headers?

Preparing for spring upgrades for my '13 ZL1 Vert and could use some guidance....

I am planning on doing the Lingenfelter 630HP (Stage 1) package but also was considering an exhaust upgrade. I'm trying to decide between the Corsa exhaust (recommended by LPE) or headers/hi-flo cats. The goal primarily being a more aggressive exhaust (not obnoxious) and no drone (my wife still wants to take trips in the car ).

FYI, I do have the MTW controller with the stock exhaust and it still seems a bit too tame.

Appreciate any suggestions, pros/cons...

I'd go with headers first. With headers you would get the most HP gain out of the exhaust system, plus the exhaust note you're looking for .

You should check with LPE before you put on headers. At the risk of opening a can of worms, I was going in for the 630 package until I mentioned headers. I was told it causes a check engine light and they won't tune it out for you. I was on my own.

So now, I have moved to Jannetty 75RWHP. And Pfdat headers. Cannot wait to get it installed over the winter.

Do your research.

They said they will not tune for long tube headers? WTF?

Start with headers and work back. Headers give you sound and power, an exhaust just sound which after headers you may not even need or want.

Headers ditch the Cats and use the exhaust controller. You'll be surprised how quiet it is and how loud it can be. We do road trips with them closed for the wife I run with them open as a noob repellent!

I have headers with no cats and the stock exhaust. It's crazy loud with the flaps open. Sounds great flaps closed too. No drone at all going down the road.

Same here. Only flaps always open. Prius repellent.

That is totally strange. It must have to do with emissions. Every tuner in this world can tune for headers and no CEL.

Is it crazy loud at start-up/cruising? Any drone? I'm considering headers and strongly considered the same exhaust.
