What's the fastest speed that you have been in your life?
To answer the question, 564 mph, which is the typical cruise speed for a McDonnell Douglas DC-10.

Norm, would it be possible to squeeze 200 out of her with some engine modifications down the road or does aerodynamics take too big of a toll at that speed?

Really crude numbers.
170-ish uses all 426 HP Power required is roughly a function of speed (cubed) 200 mph would need 426 x (200/170) x (200/170) x (200/170), or about 693 HP. Call it 700 for a 5th gen Let's say the 6th gen is slightly more aerodynamic, call it a 5% better drag coefficient. Now the crude math looks like this . . . 426 x (200/173) x (200/173) x (200/173), or 658. Both of those HP numbers may be slight over-estimates, because rolling drag does not increase as fast with speed as the aero does. But you're still looking at forced induction or an expensive Xfinity-level NASCAR build if you're thinking normally aspirated. Norm

Not in an SS (like what mike has and what I was replying to). Not short of an extensive, ex$pen$ive NA build-up or the addition of some sort of power adder, anyway.

Very odd the way you put this....almost like you're not familiar with the F-15.
Mach is a function of local air density and temperature. What Altitude were you doing 2.1 at where the equivalent is 1598.53 mph? Where did you read 1598.53 mph (hard to do as all aircraft function in Nautical miles per hour, or knots, and no airspeed indicator goes that high, and no airspeed indicator has 2 decimal places)

Yes, in a 2016 Camaro SS. It was modified but that's a given and he asked if it would be possible with mods. H/C/I and a 150 shot got 202mph out of a Hennessey car so a good shop would probably go a bit quicker lol.
