Thanks to all (except to the person who said"time to learn how to face time"? ) ok, i just talked to my daughter and she excited about the possible move. I just let her know how happy i am for herand that good things do happen to good people. I will miss our time together but as long as she is happy, that means the world to me.

Seriously though, time to learn how to face time? Made me chuckle.

If I'm not mistaken, I think the reference was to 'Facetime', which is the Apple version of Skype. While we lived in AZ, one daughter was 1500 miles away, the other was 1900. We did Facetime quite often in order to keep in touch with them and the grandkids.
I'm guessing that's what was meant, not that you need to learn how to face 'time' :-)

I am sure that is what the other member was saying. Facetime is great!

OP-nice to hear you have mended things from the past, you will be fine just don't let time slip away which is very easy to do. You both will need to work hard at it. There is nothing worse than the attitude of "I called him last now it is their turn" Don"t get into that habit.

As someone who had a falling out with his parents I am glad you have mended things with your daughter. She may be moving farther away, but she is still just a phone call away. I know it will be hard but don't let the distance keep y'all from talking. Best of luck to you and her.

Ah! Face time!! Thanks for the info. Thanks to all who responded. Talking to her is making easier to take. She's excited about going and is looking forward to the move. I'm sure its going to be a great adventure.

Glad to her you and your daughter patched it up. My girl is only nine, can't imagine her not in my daily life. Do whatever you can, you know it will be worth it.

The company wants her husband out there ASAP , so they'll be leaving sooner than planned. I don't know how ill handle not being able to hang out with her. It's going to be tough. All of the family is going to do a lunch in this weekend so we can all hang with her one last time before they leave. Im sad to see her leave but happy they are moving up in life and career.
