Do constraint % round up or down?
I just placed my order (yay!) I'm sitting at 1100 (Boo) and I've been looking at the current constraints and I see they are in %. I assume this means if the dealer get's 10 allotments and the z51 option is on 50% constraint that would mean they can order 5 z51s, if they had 6 allotments, they can order 3, etc. My question is what happens if they have 5 allotments, that would mean they can order 2.5 cars. Do they round that down to 2 or up to 3?

The % is of total production, not dealer allocation. So if they are accepting 400 orders for Stingrays (arbitrary #) and 50% Z51 constraint, they will accept 200 Z51 orders. Those 200 are distributed to the dealers base on sales rate and availability. If the dealer is allocated that constraint it shows in there DOSP as a # ( 1 or 2 or whatever). Hope that helps. |
