exhaust choice help
I have a 2010 A6 SS and I want to change my exhaust. I'm thinking about Solo Xl mach or stainless steel work chambered retro both system would be cat-back systems. The question will be which on as the best sound with stock cats and headers? Anyone the o.d of the stainless steel works tips?

I liked my MACH XL with stock converter overall, but it was a bit mild, so I added the Solo Hi Flo converters and it was great. Little deeper sound. Louder on cold start too. Tame inside the cabin with both setups.
Of course, this is my opinion. Haven't heard the other system in question. For what it is worth, I posted a vid on youtube. Search for Solo MACH XL with Solo Hi Flow converters Hope this helps.

I second solo. Big difference from stock but not completely overbearing.

Like Chase said, what sounds better is a very subjective matter. Here is a post that I made back in October that might have some info to help you in your search.
